Join us in Crete

You are invited to celebrate with us on the beautiful island of Crete. We can't wait to share sunshine, sea, good food and a lot of dancing with the people we love most.

This website has everything you need to plan your trip: the weekend schedule, travel tips, places to stay and things to do on the island. Please take a look around, and don't forget to RSVP by January 31, 2027.

See you in Crete

We are so excited to share our wedding day with you.

Having the people we love most there with us, by the sea, is everything we could wish for.

Salina & Samuel

Villa Asea

A private beachfront villa in Skaleta, about 12 km east of Rethymno town on the north coast of Crete. All three events take place here.

Registry

Your presence is our present.

We know that traveling to Crete takes time, planning and expense. Having you there to celebrate with us truly means the world, and it is the only gift we could ask for.

If you would still like to give something, we would be grateful for a contribution to our House Fund as we save for our first home together. Every bit helps us build the place where we will make memories for years to come.

Contribute to our house fund

Please don't bring physical gifts to Crete. It is much easier for everyone to travel light.

Questions

What will the weather be like?

Late May in Crete is warm and sunny, usually around 75 to 80°F (24 to 27°C) during the day and 63 to 66°F (17 to 19°C) in the evening. The sea is around 70°F (21°C), perfect for swimming. Sunset is around 8:30 PM. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses and a light layer for the evenings.

What time zone is Crete in?

Eastern European Summer Time: 1 hour ahead of Germany and 10 hours ahead of California.

Are the events indoors or outdoors?

All events are outdoors at the villa. Please choose comfortable shoes for grass and stone (block heels or wedges rather than stilettos).

Are children invited?

We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration.

Can I bring a plus-one?

We can only accommodate the guests named on your invitation. Thank you for understanding.

What currency is used?

The Euro (€). Cards are widely accepted, but carry some cash for small tavernas, kiosks and tips. A tip of 5 to 10% is appreciated in restaurants.

What plugs do they use?

Type C and F, 230V, the same as in Germany. U.S. guests need a plug adapter, and some devices may need a voltage converter (most phone and laptop chargers are fine).

Will my phone work?

German guests can use their phones at no extra cost under EU roaming rules. U.S. guests should check their carrier's international plan or buy an eSIM before the trip.

Do people speak English?

Yes. English is widely spoken in hotels, restaurants and shops. A friendly "Kaliméra" (good morning) or "Efcharistó" (thank you) is always appreciated.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We are having an unplugged ceremony. Please keep phones away so you can be fully present with us. Our photographer will capture every moment, and we will share the photos with you afterward.
